Hi, I’m Aly!
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of New York. I am also a person who believes in the value of relational healing. My education at New York University’s Silver School of Social Work taught me many of the fundamental guidelines of assisting people with their anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, personal, professional, family and marital problems. My experience with life and working with humans taught me about the invaluable nature of connection and relationships with both others and self.
My therapy style is integrative, often drawing upon things I have learned in my own healing processes such as Internal Family Systems, Imago Therapy, Attachment Theory, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Energy healing with sound and Reiki, Meditation practices, Body movement practices, and Manifestation exercises.
I have worked successfully with people experiencing anxiety, depression, adjustment-related difficulties, self esteem issues, relationship issues, family conflicts. My style incorporates uses of Mindfulness and DBT approaches, Attachment Theory, Imago therapy and Internal Family Systems. I believe in a mind, body, spirit approach to treatment and I work with my clients to help them find their own answers and listen to their own voice. I am here to be a mirror, a guide, and a confidant for you to partner with during your time of need.
More about Aly
I am warm, yet directive in sessions. I will offer you tips and tools and homework if you want it. I will make suggestions and be in touch with you between sessions as needed. I am light-hearted and enjoy utilizing humor with my clients, when appropriate, as we navigate life’s challenges together. My approach is heart-centered, rational, clear, and often very productive.
Together, we will figure out what can work for you. I am open to your needs and you are wholly part of the treatment process. If it resonates, let’s do it. If it doesn’t, let’s throw it away.
Just like you, my own life brought me front and center to being forced to deal with life’s challenges. And just like you, I hunkered down and got serious about the life I wanted to live and the life I was depriving myself of.
It’s often the hardest choices that yield us with our greatest rewards. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.
My approach is simple. We are a team. I am here for you. We will determine the best plans of action together. And we will get you to your best self.
It is the belief at Heal with Aly that the most valuable aspect of promoting change through therapy is in the relationship between the therapist and client. Please click here to learn more about offered services and styles of approaching treatment together. I look forward to working with you!

You’re taking the first step.
It’s often the hardest one. In our modern day society, we often feel that we need to go it alone in our own worlds. We work hard to make our dreams come true and we manage life stressors as they come our way. Life isn’t often easy. It’s not meant to be a breeze every day but it doesn’t have to be a hurricane either.
There is a better way. At Heal with Aly, the belief is that there are parts of you that are just waiting to be in full bloom. Your healing exists within yourself and I am your guide to show you the way. You will find that life’s obstacles will become more manageable. You will learn to trust the decisions that you are making with more confidence. You will discern between healthy and unhealthy ways of coping with your problems. You will develop self love and acceptance to all things that exist both within and outside of you.
Life is meant to be lived, not solved.
And with the right support, you can experience life in a calmer and smoother way.
